Description: Green Olive Pâté in Sicilian Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Nocellara del Belìce. Only Sicilian Nocellara del Belice olives are used. Green olive spread, ideal for bread and crostini. The product is available in a 180g glass jar.

Below is an insight on the Nocellara del Belice Green Olive Pâté.

 

Ingredients: Baked green olives (96.33%), extra virgin olive oil (3%), garlic, chili pepper, salt. Acidity regulator: Lactic acid.May contain pieces of pit.

 

Features: Green olive pâté in Sicilian extra virgin olive oil from Nocellara del Belìce, creamy and perfect for spreading. Nocellara del Belice green olive spread with the typical intense flavor of the fresh fruit, enhanced with a touch of garlic and chili pepper.

 

Origin: Olives grown and harvested at the Turnaturi Carmela Farm, in the Castelvetrano (TP) area, a few kilometers from Selinunte.

 

Processing: The Nocellara del Belice olives are hand-picked at the Turnaturi Carmela Farm. The olives are picked green, carefully recognizing the right degree of ripeness. Then, through brining, the drupes are sweetened and baked. The heat causes a slight loss of water. The olives are then processed to obtain the pâté. Only at the end is extra virgin olive oil and salt added. The product is then packaged in glass jars.

 

Shelf life: 18 months

 

Storage: Avoid exposing the jar to heat sources or direct light. Once opened, keep refrigerated.

 

Pairings: Green olive pâté is a versatile product. It is perfect for garnishing crostini, slices of bread, and bruschetta. It can also be used to prepare tasty sauces for first and second courses. It pairs well with meats, cheeses, and even fish.

Its taste is delicate but intense, the fruit is medium-large, and the pulp is crunchy. The cultivation of the Nocellara del Belice olive tree is very ancient in the Belice Valley area and dates back to the Greek colony of Selinunte. The Turnaturi Carmela farm cultivates the olive grove according to "eco-sustainable farm management methods," respecting the environment, the plants, and the health of the consumer.
