Black Olive Paté in Sicilian Nocellara del Belìce Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Nocellara del Belice olive variety. Spreadable olive cream, perfect for seasoning crostini and sauces. The product is available in a 180 g glass jar. May contain pieces of pit.
Ingredients: Baked black olives (99.33%), extra virgin olive oil, salt. Antioxidant: Lactic acid.
Features: Black olive paté in Sicilian Nocellara del Belìce extra virgin olive oil, creamy and perfect for spreading. Nocellara del Belice black olive cream with the typical intense flavor of ripe fruit.
Origin: Olives grown and harvested at the Turnaturi Carmela farm's olive groves, in the area of Castelvetrano (TP), a few kilometers from Selinunte.
Processing: The Nocellara del Belice olives are hand-picked at the Turnaturi farm's olive groves. The olives are picked black and already ripe from the tree. Then, thanks to a salting process, the drupes are sweetened and baked at 140-150°C. The heat causes a slight loss of water. The olives are then processed to obtain the Paté. Only at the end are extra virgin olive oil and salt added. The product is then packed in glass jars.
Shelf life: 18 months
Storage: Avoid exposing the jar to heat sources or direct light. Once opened, keep the jar in the fridge.
Pairings: The black olive paté is a versatile product. It is perfect for topping crostini, slices of bread, and bruschetta. It can also be used to prepare tasty sauces for first and second courses. It pairs well with meats and cheeses.
Curiosity: Nocellara del Belice is a type of olive that is very suitable for oil production and more! In fact, it is considered an excellent table olive. Its taste is delicate yet intense, the fruit is medium-large, and the pulp is crunchy. The cultivation of the Nocellara del Belice olive tree is very ancient in the Belice Valley area and dates back to the Greek colony of Selinunte. The Turnaturi Carmela farm cultivates the olive grove using "eco-sustainable farm management methods," respecting the environment, the plants, and consumer health.
